What Should I Expect At The First Meeting?

In your initial meeting, you should be prepared to answer basic biographical information about you, your spouse or partner, your children, your income, and your assets and liabilities. You should be prepared to discuss what issues you are experiencing and how you want to resolve those issues. If a case has been filed, you should bring any paper work you have that is related to the case. You can expect to receive information about the range of results that may apply to your case and a general overview of the manner in which your case may proceed. You should also expect to have your questions answered. Depending on your case, Peter may give you handouts, links to websites, or other information to help you deal with the issues in your case.
