Oregon Family Law FAQs
Unless one parent has some very significant issues, the children will spend time with each parent (parenting time). One or both parents will make major decisions about the children (legal custody). The way the parents treat each other in a family law case may have a profound impact on their children. It is important, therefore, for the parents to do their best to be civil with each other, because escalating conflict can have very negative consequences for children.
